I'm a hypocrite.
After my blah, blah, blahing about not wanting to do anything for Valentines Day and how you shouldn't HAVE to do anything for Valentines if you do it the rest of the year, my dearest husband did something anyway. He got me a little heart pillow with a cute pocket, a box of chocolates, and a nice card. And I liked it. I must be a hopeless romantic and I just don't want to admit it.
I think I might suggest going out to dinner, too. Although the crowds probably will be pathetic, so we may change our minds. But we haven't been out in a long time. Nothing too fancy. But someplace that doesn't have plastic tablewear.
Question: What did/are you going to do, a couple or single, for Valentines? Will you celebrate Valentines Day or S.A.D. Day? (If you don't know what S.A.D. day is...see this)

I'm such a hopeless romantic, that I bought my husband of almost 25 years, the underwear that I've been begging him to buy for himself for the last 6 months. Oh, and I also threw in a pack of handkerchiefs and recycled the card that he gave me. Valentines Day on a Monday just doesn't seem right!! PS: Love your blog.
Don't feel bad - I am a hopeless romantic and a SAP to boot!!! LOL
We never go out on V-day - too crowded, but we eat out alot - so that is not something particularly *special* for us.
We did gifts, and a nice romantic dinner at home. Candles, china, the whole 9 yards.
And now, I hear the shower go off - I had better get outta this computer chair!
Happy V-Day!!!

Happy Valentines Day. Now I am going to go and read your post...ok read it.
Awww he's so nice.
I spent my single day reading blogs and sneaking candies...
Sap it up!!! Get mushy!!! Why the hell not?
I spent my married day reading blogs and sneaking candies (too). Mr. elle had to work late. Oh, well.

Sweet!
We didn't celebrate it (as per usual), which is fine by me.
BUT go out to dinner!! Make the most of your coupledom BEFORE the baby comes along (as it'll be a LONG time before your next chance).
Happy Valentine's Day!
Valentines Day is a big, fat nothing in this house. However, sounds like you are a lucky, lucky lady. I agree with Cesca, get out while you can. Really.
