Can't wait for Raspberry to be a teenager

This is an ACTUAL e-mail my sister sent to my neice's teachers:

Hello! Even though this is the most embarrassing thing for Krystal (so she tells me) I am needing her average again. Sorry to be such pest but her social life depends on it. Thank you!

AHAHAHAa....yeah, Big Kid used to just CRINGE at the thought of me going to school to meet with the teachers. And he had the NERVE to make me stop two blocks from school to drop him off. He couldn't risk being seen with his MOTHER...and in a MINI VAN, God no.

...hehehe..her social life, that's a good one. :)

I'm so confused. What does average mean? Why is this embarrassing? :(

Sorry, Joe! Didn't mean to confuse.

Average is short for Grade Point Average. Meaning she wants to know her grade in that class up to that point.

Why is it embarrassing for her mom to contact her teachers? Good question. I'm not 16 anymore (OMG...I'm 16x2!). Maybe if I was 16 I could figure out why a mom caring is so "embarrassing". Tee hee. I can't wait to embarrass my kids. ;)

Maybe I'll give you my mom's number. If she had a mission statement from the day I burst from her stomach in a shower of screams and fleshy goo, she's determined that it's her right, no, obligation to embarass me as often as possible. Unfortunately I grew a thick skin to it by about the time I was 5 so she had to give up or work on my brother.
